These terms govern access to and use of the Ministerio de Sanidad e Infraestructuras Sanitarias portal (guineasalud.com) and its installable app. By using the portal you accept these terms. Please read them together with the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy.
1. Owner of the portal
Owner: Ministry of Health and Health Infrastructure of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
Address: Calle Abilio Balboa, Malabo.
Email: contacto@guineasalud.com.
2. Purpose of the portal
Ministerio de Sanidad e Infraestructuras Sanitarias is the Ministry's official health information portal. It offers:
news and press releases;
public-health alerts;
the directory of hospitals and health centres;
health data and statistics;
official documents, plans and protocols;
institutional information;
ways to contact the Ministry and the Patient Ombudsman's Office (ODEPAC).
Access is free and requires no registration, except for the management panel, which is reserved for authorised staff.
3. Nature of the health information
The portal's information is general and for public awareness. It does not replace consultation, diagnosis or treatment by a health professional.
If you have symptoms or questions about your health, go to a health centre. In an emergency, call the emergency number or go to the nearest hospital (see Emergencies).
The portal's forms are not an emergency channel and do not offer personal medical consultations.
4. Alerts and notifications
The Ministry publishes health alerts as quickly and rigorously as possible. However, delivery of notifications depends on your device, your connection and browser makers' services, so we cannot guarantee that they always arrive, or arrive immediately. Also follow the Government's official channels and the instructions of the health authorities.
5. Directory of hospitals and centres
Details of the centres (address, phone numbers, opening hours and services) are reviewed regularly but may change. Each entry shows whether its information is verified or pending verification. Before you travel, especially for a non-urgent reason, we recommend confirming the details with the centre. If you spot a mistake, let us know through the Contact page.
6. Data and statistics
Every chart shows its source and update date. Figures may be revised when new data arrives or existing data is corrected.
You may reuse the published data (including CSV downloads) if you credit the source ("Ministry of Health and Health Infrastructure of Equatorial Guinea — Ministerio de Sanidad e Infraestructuras Sanitarias") and the date you accessed it, without distorting its meaning.
7. Intellectual and industrial property
The portal's texts, documents, data and designs belong to the Ministry or are published with their owners' permission.
You may reproduce and share the informational content for non-commercial purposes, provided you credit the source, link to the original where possible and do not distort its meaning. We recommend sharing the link, so that people always see the latest version, especially of alerts.
The national coat of arms, the Guinea Salud logo and other institutional marks may not be used without express permission, or in a way that suggests an official relationship that does not exist.
Some images and documents belong to third parties (for example, international organisations) and are subject to their own licences.
8. Proper use of the portal
You agree to use the portal lawfully and in good faith. In particular, you must not:
send false information, offensive content or other people's data without permission through the forms;
impersonate another person or the Ministry itself;
share altered screenshots or copies of alerts, or pass off unofficial notices as official;
try to access the management panel or systems without authorisation, or get around their security measures;
overload the portal with massive automated requests, or introduce viruses or harmful code;
use the portal's contact details to send advertising or unsolicited messages.
The Ministry may block access for anyone who breaches these terms and, where appropriate, report them to the competent authorities.
9. External links
The portal links to websites of other organisations and to social networks. The Ministry does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content or availability. A link does not imply endorsement of the linked site.
10. Availability and liability
The Ministry works to keep the portal continuously available and its information accurate and up to date. Even so, there may be interruptions for maintenance, technical faults or reasons beyond its control, and the information may contain unintentional errors.
When offline, the portal shows the last version saved on your device. Check the update date of alerts and data once you are back online.
The Ministry is not liable for damage arising from use of the information contrary to these terms, or for unavailability due to causes not attributable to it.
11. Changes
The Ministry may change the portal and these terms at any time. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
13. Contact
For questions about these terms, email contacto@guineasalud.com.
